So Long, Uncle Pete

Liam's Great Uncle Peter passed away on Sunday. Uncle Pete had surgery for pancreatic cancer on May 13th, their shared birthday. He fought complications from the surgery for almost 6 weeks, but died peacefully in the company of his wife Peggy and three sons, Sean, Brian, and Kevin. Uncle Pete was a very important part of our Duddy West clan and his wit, advice, and love for a good philosophic discussion will be greatly missed. Uncle Kevin reminded us that the last time we saw Uncle Pete prior to his time in the hospital was at a soccer game - the game he loved - watching one of his sons coach, and he loved watching his sons play and coach even more than the game itself. Here are some pictures of Uncle Pete and Liam over the past year:

Love from day one for the birthday buddies
But that didn't keep Uncle Pete from trying to steal some corn from a baby in a bumbo.
Serious,
goofy,
and loving,
Uncle Pete was a big part of all of our lives and we will miss him dearly. We love you!
