We had a special treat for Easter - Uncle Patrick came hopping into town! Uncle Patrick spent his Spring Break visiting his nephews, and it was so great to see him when he came to Denver! He got a good mix of big boy time skiing and hiking with Uncle Doc, and little boy time dying eggs, going out for pancakes, and lots of soccer in the back yard. Dec immediately learned to say "Pat" and the phrase "Uncle Pat, do you want to play soccer with me?" was overheard so many times that Patrick is probably hearing it in his sleep. Thank you so much for visiting us, Patrick, we had so much fun with you!
It's egg-dying time!

The Michael Jordan of egg-dying. Tongue out.
Patrick and Dec admire our "Go Rapids" egg.
Liam in action. It is miraculous that none of the dye cups spilled, but the night was not without casualties. Over a week later, Liam is still sporting a shiner from a spill from the chair.
Patrick gives Dec the birds-eye view.
A happy egg-dying crew.

And now on to our other yearly tradition: the bunny cake.

Dec had to get down low to find his eggs.
On the hunt.
Dad really challenged Liam. His hunt involved climbing,
and he had to use a golf club to reach most of his eggs,
but that was no problem for the L Dudds.

Declan did not want to participate in this picture. He was so tired that shortly after this photo we ate, and he actually fell asleep at the table while chewing.
Madden family!
The crew participating in their standard holiday pastime - drinking beers, kicking around a soccer ball.
Post-nap, Declan was in a much happier mood!
Uncle Patrick kept asking him if he just got home from work in this outfit.
Yes, and it was a tough day at the office. Can't you just let me pull in the garage?
