The Maddens kids kept up their trend of winning summer by fitting more fun in before the start of school! We fit in all of our favorite summer outings, including a long-awaited camping trip!
The kids came downtown with Rachel to take me out to lunch for my birthday.
Then we spent my actual birthday at our favorite place, Water World!
We had a blast at Greenwood Village Day!

And it wouldn't be summer without a trip to Lakeside!
Maggie had her first ever sleepover with her best bud, Sarah!
We had a cousins camping trip to Twin Lakes. KV, Eve, Uncle Patrick, Aunt Katie, and Calvin joined us. We were on a Buckley family campsite complete with a zip line, camper, and kayaks! It was so fun!
Twin Lakes is so beautiful, right at the foot of the highest mountain in Colorado!

Declan told me in early August that he felt that "something was missing from his life." After much questioning and discussion (is it a person, a hobby, attention, etc), he admitted that what was missing from his life was a trip to Lava Island. The swim team had an outing there on a day we couldn't go. Babcia and Grandpa to the rescue with a visit to said Lava Island before school started!
Rounding out the last week before school started with a trip to Overland with Dad...
...which obviously had to include a stop at Glacier.
We spent our last day before school at Pirate's Cove!
Meanwhile, we got to take in a Rockies game from sweet seats.
And take a selfie with the worst mascot in baseball.
Better.
