When daily swim team practice ended, we made some fun day trips!
On a trip to the zoo with Rachel, we got up close and personal with the lorikeets.
We hit up the Colorado History Museum and their "Play Ball!" exhibit with Dad.
This kid prefers alpha-bots to baseball.
And then we got out of town for a family weekend in Breckenridge! We stayed at a hotel, which is always amazing, but this one had multiple pools, hot tubs, an arcade, a mini-mini-golf course, and it was therefore extra amazing.
We walked into town for dinner and this crazy rolled ice cream treat. We're feeling punchy.
Too hot for the hot tub.
Reading putts on a course he probably played 40 times.
We went on a gorgeous hike on Black Powder Pass. The drive up Boreas Pass was fun and had amazing views, and the trail winded through wildflowers and forests and had stunning views in between Boreas and Bald peaks. Liam took this picture while hanging out the sun roof of our car!
The boys were running up and down this one.
Wildfires made it hazy but that didn't stop this little beast from hiking all the way to the top!
That's Dad.
Back in town we had a fun night of pizza and yet another arcade and then we ran into Brian, Jess, Nina and Luke playing in the river!
They were staying at the SAME hotel as us, so the next day we did a hike together!
We capped off the weekend with an ill-fated trip to Coney Island. While we always wanted to get a hot dog in a building the shape of the hot dog, it was definitely not in the top 100 hot dogs we've had. Good thing the homemade or local or something special soda was delish.
