Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, blog fans!  We had very relaxed Christmas Day - a morning of opening presents, a visit from Aunt Peggy and Cousin Kevin, and a trip to Arvada to celebrate with Babcia, Grandpa, Aunt Mary Ann, and Uncle Daniel.  It was a wonderful day spent with family!

The boys were up early (but no earlier than usual) but a sleep-in from Maggie all the way to 7am (!) delayed the excitement for a bit.  Favorite presents were Football Guys and the backstop for Liam, and trucks, trucks, trucks for Declan. His beloved Bobcat was replaced by Santa, and a new little excavator and front loader from Uncle Daniel are carried around everywhere he goes.  Liam has already constructed both of his Lego gifts and now works hard on hiding them from his curious and destructive brother.  We got some fabulous new books from Nana and Big V and Aunt Mary that have (thankfully) replaced the reading and rereading of Christmas books.  Santa brought Maggie lots of things with her name on them - an ornament, a plate, and a photo book called "Maggie's Family" - but she seemed partial to a stuffed bunny rabbit, the football her brothers got her, and eating wrapping paper. Par for the course for a 9-month old. We are so lucky and blessed. Merry Christmas!

Anticipation.
The Bobcat, which Liam is quick to point out is actually a skid-steer loader, but who's counting.

A family picture with willing participants! Of course it is of terrible quality.
