Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was a day of anticipation and excitement in our house. There was lots of checking the NORAD Santa Tracker, talking about exactly which cookies to leave for Santa and how many carrots for Rudolph, and worries that mom and dad wouldn't go to bed early enough before Santa would arrive. Somehow, we survived.
We started the day at a very fun neighborhood cookie decorating party. Nothing like getting them amped up on sugar early.
Liam and Mom represented the family at mass. Dad stayed home with the nappers.
But that didn't stop Maggie from getting into a fancy Christmas dress! Thank God for hand-me-downs.
Declan, who was salty to everyone that day, had a soft spot for Aunt Mary Ann.
 What is that? A smile?
 T and Maggie T.
A classic.  When asked if he wanted to put on his sweater vest, he actually said yes, but that enthusiasm did not last for the camera.  I'll spare you the belly-showing, squirming shots when Dad tried to hold him.
The kids exchanged their presents to one another before bedtime. Maggie is ready to open hers! The boys got her a baby football.
Happy to be out of his church clothes and opening a present!
 Brotherly hugs.
Happy with their gifts from each other! 2 footballs and a truck.
The oldest is entrusted with the important job of delivering the plate. Liam took his job very seriously.
Maggie crawled right over and tried to grab the carrots.
 Ready for Santa!
A pre-Christmas dance routine? I forget why they are doing this.
