The Duddy family gathered in Dubuque, Iowa to celebrate Brian and Jessica's wedding. It was a celebration of love, family, friendship, and of course, dancing. We were so happy to see each other and celebrate a couple we love so much. What a fabulous weekend on the Mississippi! Cheers to Brian and Jess!
Katie and I both stole Brigid's pictures, so I'll try to use different ones than those are on the Feuer blog.
Anticipation. Dec keeps tabs on the trucks and planes at the airport.
Liam loves the Mississippi!
Trains crossing bridges? Barges, river boats and speedboats floating or zooming by? These three could not have had a better view or have spent more time at the window.
Friday night rehearsal dinner...
Uncle Doc meets the Ro!
What a crew!
This epitomizes my kids' excitement over seeing Big V. Constantly looking up, hands out, waiting for swedish fish to be bestowed on them.
Lots more shots of the various gang...
One of my few shots of Sammy. He's a hard one to catch. :)
Could he be cuter?
Grub time!
Think they like cupcakes?
Nana cruises with Dec.
And nibbles Rowan's toes.
Uncle Scott provided great musical entertainment as always.
Peggy toasting the couple.
Playing soccer with Matt and Joe - who he has been referring to as "the big kids" for the past year? Liam is in heaven.
It wouldn't be a Duddy event without a soccer game!
What to say about the indoor water park in our hotel? Hot, sticky, a little gross, a lot of awesome. Despite our initial skepticism, this provided great fun for all - for Liam, Sam, and Dec, right up to their parents, uncles, and Jennifer and Katie. Everyone, even the little boys, hit the slides, and I got a kick out of the 4 "adults" standing waiting for the giant bucket to dump water on their heads. Nana and Big V enjoyed watching us all squeal with laughter as we were sliding down water slides a la the Wildwater days.
My pictures really didn't do it justice, so I had to take one from the website of the giant riverboat waterpark.
The boys cozy up to a catfish at the Mississippi River Museum.
What we're all here for...the wedding!
It was a beautiful ceremony.
Congratulations!
Looking a little disheveled.
Nana and the boys.
And now the dancing begins...
This is too funny not to share.
And a few Late night shots...
And I'll part with the classic failed cousin attempt...
