Days with Dad!

The boys are home two days a week with Dad this month and boy, are they enjoying it. They take field trips to all sorts of fun places, sometimes with Babcia and Grandpa in tow! So far they've hiked, went to a splash park, visited the Nature and Science and train museums, and have made many trips to the zoo. What lucky boys (and Dad)!

The train museum in Golden:

Another fun day at the zoo.
Shortly after this was snapped, this elephant pooped and peed. Certainly a highlight of the trip.

Mom gets to have fun with the boys too. On a Liam and Mom morning, we ran over to Tommy Davis Park to try our hand at fishing. We didn't catch anything, but we had a lot of fun! Greenwood Village stocks the pond in April, and one of the bigger kids told us he thinks that all of the fish are gone. But that didn't stop us. We even lost our hook and bait on our last cast, and Liam is pretty sure a fish got it (definitely not the bottom of the lake).
Laying out the bait.
 Happy fisherman.

Dad took Liam to a Rapids game, so I took Declan on a date night to the free concerts on Tuesday nights in Greenwood Village. We could run from our house, we brought a picnic, and had a fun time running around and dancing.  But, the band could not compete with the GV fire trucks on hand. Our guy came home with a Junior Firefighter sticker and a big smile on his face.

 Checking out the truck.
A fireman joked that he's next to a half a million dollar truck and all he cares about is this cone. Yep.
 Fireman Dec!
