Sammy Arrives

Sammy arrived for his week-long stay with Nana and Big V, and luckily our trips crossed paths by a couple of days. Poor Sam was under the weather, but we still had a great time playing with him.

We headed back for another dinner at Lehigh, which provided some more funny photo ops.
Big V keeps an eye on the two big Kraft cousins.
Pretty Nana takes Sammy for a stroll.
And then the photo of Nana and Big V with all three grandchildren starts...
Take 1. Nana and Liam think this is funny.
Take 2. Sammy's slipping!
Take 3! Somehow managed to get a 2 year old, 1 year old, and 10 week old to all look at the camera at one time while their Nana and Big V make silly faces.

On Thursday, we had a plethora of visitors. What a treat! Mrs. McNallen came all the way up form Annapolis to spend a few hours with the boys. Thanks so much for making the trip. It was great to see you! Aunt Babs spent the entire day with the boys, and provided endless fun for Liam and lots of cuddles for Declan. Liam was very impressed with Aunt Babs's pitching prowess. Little does he know how much time Babs has spent at cousin Sarah's softball games! Mrs. Holden and Anne Vaughn stopped by too. At one point it was a battle of the Kraft's favorite babysitters with Aunt Babs and Anne in the same place. We don't have pictures of all of the visitors because Declan was uncharacteristically fussy that day and Mom was preoccupied. Luckily there were lots of experienced arms around to take turns holding him! Babs, Mrs. McNallen, Mrs. Holden, and Anne have 16 kids between them! Finally, the McNallen sisters spent the evening with us. Erin is due in July and Megan brought cute Tobi, who is 2 months older than Liam. We had a blast catching up and the boys had fun playing around each other.

Declan and Babs were fast friends.
Sammy and Liam found some comfy seats.
It's good to see you, cuz.
Aunt Babs came armed with baseball bats, and Tobi and Liam were happy to step up to the plate while the moms pitched.
Pretty good form for a couple of 2 year olds!
Aunt Katie helps the boys find oregano, mint, and other herbs that Big V grows.
Liam demonstrates that he is eating a leaf of some kind.
Ahhh, 2 years olds. Tobi and Liam were interested in each other, but wary. Here they would not pose at the same rock. We heard quite a few "No, Tobi's" from a certain possessive boy, but then after everyone had gone home, Liam said "I miss my friend Tobi." Classic.
Already trying to climb trees, boys?
The Kraft and McNallen girls and their kiddos (and kiddo on the way). We're missing little Hadley, Megan's 7 month old. This is a far cry from the fun times of old that we used to have together, but this is a different kind of fun to see all of the kids together!

A few attempts to get the three cousins in their Phillies hats.
Take 1. Declan crying.

Take 2. Sammy loses interest.
Take 3. Liam telling Sammy to put his hat on.

Then Nana tried a photo op with the boys. This went a little better!

Declan gets a snuggle with Aunt Katie before getting on the plane back to Denver.
