The Fun Continues

We did so many fun things in Allentown, some documented in photos, some not. Here are some activities that we caught on camera. The boys were loving life.

Big V needed help in his vegetable garden, and he had an eager assistant. Shovels and rakes? Check. Garden gloves? Check. Matching New Balance double-wide shoes? You bet. These two are ready to go.

Big V even took a picture of the garden once everything was planted so he can send Liam progress in photos. Don't worry Big V, we will be checking in on the garden masterpiece.

On Sunday, we had a Duddy BBQ. It was great to see Diane, Paul and Gale, Frank, Donna, and the kids, and Quinn and Gabe. We did not have our camera out enough, but we had such a fun visit with everyone. Liam had a blast tagging along with the "big kids." He was very impressed that Matt and Joe came with their own soccer balls, basketball, and baseball bats and balls, and was in awe of them the whole afternoon. The Duddy boys were very patient in helping Liam play foosball in the basement and Gabe happily let Liam tag along with him. Mom even caught Liam trying to sit like Gabe. Criss cross applesauce!

Kelly Ann, high school scholarship winner, gets a snuggle with Declan. Congrats, Kelly! Kelly was also recently Maria in her school's production of the Sound of Music. If only she knew that her older cousins Colleen and Katie watched that movie relentlessly when they were her age, complete with acting out the songs. Luckily for everyone, the only people who heard our rendition of Maria's classics were Kevin, Patrick, and Nana.

Now it's Mom's turn to hold the big boy.

An Allentown favorite, the fish hatchery, was one of our morning stops.

Nana tells Liam how Aunt Katie learned the hard way that you don't stick your finger in the pools. Luckily, we stuck to throwing food.

It was fun to feed the fish and watch them swim around like crazy after the food.

We also hit the pool for the first time this year. The weather has been too cold and rainy in Denver. Liam was a little slow to warm up, but then loved it. He's ready for a summer of swimming.

Trying to catch the pure joy of being thrown around by his parents was tough, but Liam loved it.

Dad left on Tuesday, so before we took him to the airport, we made a stop at the Please Touch Me Museum. It has moved to a beautifully restored historic building in Philly's Fairmount Park, and was a great escape on a hot, humid day. Liam had a blast exploring every inch of it.

Dad gets a little taste of what he will feel like in 14 years.

For a boy obsessed with city buses and school buses, driving this SEPTA bus was a treat.

Where's Uncle Scott when we need him? Somebody needs to show this kids how to hold a guitar.

At first, Liam though the carousel was a bit boring. Sitting on a stationary horse?

Then it started moving, and Liam saw why Nana was smiling. Moving up and down while going around and around? This is fun!

He loved waving to his fans (aka Mom, Dad, and Declan) on every pass.
