Fourteener

John and I took a mental health day: a vacation day in the middle of the week to hike not one but two fourteeners! Grays and Torreys are two peaks so close together that you can hike them both in one outing. It was a fun date day!

Cheesy of me but that is Grays on the left and Torreys on the right.
Grays summit! 14,270 feet.
The two peaks are right on the continental divide so the views are stunning. We hiked when Colorado wildfires were terrible so it was pretty hazy.
This is the saddle between the two peaks.

Summit of Torreys! 14,267 feet.

Beers to celebrate post-hike.
Maryellen and Joe were in town so we had a little backyard get together with the Duddys West. No picks of them but we do have one of the birthday girl!
We supported our buddy Cody with a walk for Neurofibromatosis .
L Dudds on the pitch for the Rapids.
While these three had their first swim meet for the Aquawolves!
We had Kathy, Jack, Mary, Ross, Babcia and Grandpa over for a brunch. No pics. Darn. But Uncle Daniel came by with some musical gifts, and Maggie is into it!
She also loves her hummingbird feeder from Kathy and Jack!
We're loving the TV for outside movies!
The swimmers are back at it.

We didn't know it at the time, but this was Maggie's last soccer game of the season. Her coach contracted COVID so her last two games were cancelled. She had fun playing for the Fireballs this season.
L Dudds is still playing!

Home project, complete.
Most important vote of our lives. Check and check.
