Singin' and Ballin' and Skiin' and RIP to One of My Faves

We had a busy end to February, filled with joy and sadness. We celebrated some fun things as a family, and we also had some beautiful time together with the Duddys mourning my Aunt Diane.

The 3rd grade music program celebrated the planets. Declan was as interested as could be expected.

D was not happy to take a picture with his sister.
But Nico cheered him up.

L Dudds ready before hoops play-offs.
We had a fun visit from Aunt Linda and Uncle Bob who were enthusiastic cheerleaders for Liam and the Bruins.
Champs!
Our future's so bright...

Fun for them to win together.
L got a quick ski day in with his buddies.

I headed to Philly to attend my Aunt Diane's funeral on March 5th. My Aunt Diane was the coolest. When I was a grouchy, surly teen, she always found a way to connect to me, usually through our shared love of music. She had the BEST taste. She loved to laugh, especially at herself. Her self-deprecating humor was something to emulate. We also had a shared love of rowing. To say it simply, Aunt Diane was game. She was game for anything, whether it be fighting breast and lung cancer, putting herself through college as a single mom, or learning a new sport. Her funeral was beautiful. Beautiful to celebrate a human being who was the best of us, beautiful to be able to hug and cry and be together, beautiful to see Diane's greatest work, my cousin Conor. We miss you, Aunt Di. So much.

I also got to meet my cousin Sarah's adorable son, Finn. He is so stinkin cute.
I flew back from Philly and headed straight up the hill for a ski weekend with the Littles. We were there to celebrate KV's 40th, and we had a fun time skiing and celebrating with KV, Chrissey, Christine, Tom, and many others, I just don't have pictures of any of them. :)

Meanwhile, John and Liam stayed behind for a baseball tournament and had some fun of their own!

For Christmas, we gave the each of the kids a date night with mom and dad. Liam's was a Nuggets game on March 9th, one of the last NBA games before they postponed the season. We had such a fun time together.
Sporting his new Gary Harris jersey with his favorite Giannis Antetokounmpo in the background.
