We headed to Akumal, Mexico for a very, very fun trip with friends. It was a 40th birthday trip, but it was really the first time all of us had been away together, and it was amazing. We laughed, and laughed, and laughed some more. We also were fairly active - walking to bars, swimming and kayaking right off our beach, touring ruins, and an epic snorkeling trip (well the experience getting the gear was epic, including the involvement of a pet squirrel) during which we saw barely any fish but lots of sea turtles! We're so lucky to have such great friends.
