We wrapped up another great season for the Cheetahs and the Tornados! John coaches both teams, and this was sadly our last season with each team as they are right now due to US Soccer's age changes for the upcoming season (going to birth year teams rather than grade level). We are lucky that our Cheetahs aren't too affected, but we are losing one of Liam's best buds, Bodhi, who is our only player born in 2008. The Tornados are another story, with most of Declan's team on the older side, so he and John are moving on next season to find other 2011s.
The Cheetahs after their last regular season game.
And the Tornados.
Being Tornados.
A Rainbow Star and a Tornado intertwined. Serious coloring going on.
We also played in our first ever tournament, the Storm Rock Cup. It was amazing! The boys played so hard, had so much fun, and went undefeated to win their group, only to lose in PKs in the championship. They were heartbroken, but it was such a good experience, both the team building and the losing in such a tough fashion.
They played their school buddies the Mighty Sharks. What a great group of boys!
We're so proud of the Cheetahs!
Some cupcakes and hardware helped with the tears.
And the Tornado at their year-end party. They're crazy but cute!
