We started out May with a sleepover for the kids and a day and night out for mom and dad! Babcia and Grandpa graciously took the kids for a night so we could fully enjoy the Denver Derby Party! It was a blast all around.
My hat got in the way in pretty much all of the pictures...
A quick update on Maggie. We like to say she is 1 going on 3, unaware that she is not as old and capable as Declan and Liam. Her first word other than mama and dada was doggie. It makes us a little sad that she didn't get to know May for as long as we had once expected, because she absolutely loves dogs. She even yells "doggie!" when she sees May's picture on our mantel. She still doesn't say a ton since we all seem to do a lot of talking for her, but she has mastered the please sign, and basically uses that to get anything she wants, along with a healthy mix of grunting and pointing. She's similar to Declan in a lot of ways - she crawls up the stairs by herself, and we'll find her reading books in her room. She's similar to Liam in how helpful she is. She loves to put her books away, and if I take off her shoes in a random place in the house, she carries them over to the corner where we keep them. Too cute. A neighbor gave this bobcat to us. I would have expected Declan to like it the most, but the level of interest probably goes Maggie, Liam, Declan. Liam likes to drive around and pick up his baseballs with the shovel part, and every time I turn around, Maggie is in it, and she even figured out that she can push the gas pedal with her hand if her feet can't reach. Great. I'm sure we'll be posting a picture with a black eye sometime soon.
A Liam-Grandpa nap.
Hanging with Babcia.
A very fun trip to the zoo with my little monkeys.
Elephants are Maggie's favorite.
Look! We can be sweet too!
Maggs is still a mama's girl.
Cheetahs versus the Soccer Fairies! We wrapped up the Spring soccer season with another boys versus girls soccer game. So much fun! Liam had a great time playing soccer. It was the same team (and Coach Dad!) as in the Fall. He scored lots of goals, was a defensive machine, and continued to be a great teammate and sometimes, "Little Coach." Our Liam takes intensity to a new level, but we're glad that he has so much fun playing with his friends. Go Cheetahs!
Umm, does it get any cuter?! Meet Hank, Kevin and Jennifer's new Golden Retriever puppy. Josie has a brother, and Maggie has a rival. Hank and Maggie like the same toys. :)
We have a robin's nest over the wreath on our front door!
