Liam turned 3 on Mother's Day this year. Happy Mother's Day to all of our favorite moms! It was a treat to reflect on Mother's Day about how much has changed in the past 3 years (understatement) and to think about how lucky we are. Our 3 year old still loves sports as much as ever, and he is still quite a ham, but he has his shy moments, and he is turning into a pretty sensitive boy and a very loving older brother and son. He is at such a fun age - so curious and inquisitive and his memory is unbelievable. He really loves his brother and cousins and friends and is very much obsessed with all "big kids" that he meets. All he wanted for his birthday was a party with sports and popsicles, so we were happy to oblige and had a birthday bbq on Saturday. He saved his popsicles for his party at school. We had another rainy and chilly day, just like his party last year, but we were still able to fit in plenty of sports and time with friends and we all had a blast. We celebrated mother's day with the Maddens and got to have birthday round 2 on his actual day. Cheers to our 3 year-old! Happy Birthday, Liam!
A thumbs-up for his soccer goal, an already much-used gift from Nana and Big V. Thank you!
The little boys can party too. Dec and Frank stayed close to the pretzel bites, and were happy to feed as much as possible to the May dog. She think they are the perfect height!
The big boys take a break from wheeling around to share a snack with the little guys.
Dinner time! Dad cooked some yummy food on the grill. Dig in!
Happy, hungry kids.
Happy birthday to you!
Liam and I baked cupcakes, and decorated them as tennis balls, soccer balls, basketballs, and baseballs. Sports! Sports! Sports!
Plaid party.
Dec is a fan of the cake. He he... his was sugar-free banana cake. Still tasty!
Liam woke up on his birthday to find a new bike!
Dec likes the look of this!
So much so that he wants to eat it. The birthday boy is not amused.
Mother's Day and Liam's birthday at the Maddens.
Blowing out the candles.
Pleased with the results.
Dec likes it! This time he gets the real deal.
I would say Liam likes it too!
