OK, we know that the actual madness will begin when we have three children under age four in less than two weeks, but for now the madness consists of chasing after our funny, busy boys.
We took the boys to breakfast at The Perfect Landing - the restaurant at the Centennial Airport - which is a nearby airport for private jets and small planes. You get to sit at a window table and watch planes take off and land. The boys, especially Declan, were in heaven. For the next week, whenever we got in the car or he was especially tired, Declan would yell "Cennnntennnnial Airport!" "Pancakes!"
Dec's first taste of a Shamrock Shake. He approved.
Playing at the park. We go between snowstorms and 60 degree days, so snow boots or our mud shoes are usually appropriate. It is definitely mud season in Denver!
Another snowstorm!
The boys and Dad made a snow man.
Teamwork.
Do you recognize the hat from Mr. Crow? And of course our snowman is a Rapids fan.
The finished product!
We walked/rode to the pool park for some snow play and sledding. It would be difficult to exactly call the pool park a sledding hill, but the boys loved it.om
Tired of walking, the boys get a lift from Dad.
Liam goes for the torpedo method.
Ready. Set.
Go!
A video of the sledding in action. You can see how short the "run" is.
The boys have a chart for good behavior and doing chores. One of their rewards was a paddle ball. It was very good for some short-lived fun.
Turn your sound way down low for this one. I call it "Baking with Boys."
