As in first hospital stay in our family? Declan is the winner. Our little Dec came down with pneumonia the day before we were supposed to leave for Allentown for Christmas. It came on very fast and thankfully he recovered just as fast. A trip to the pediatrician led to a trip in an ambulance to Children's Hospital. An x-ray showed us that it was pneumonia, and after he got some meds and oxygen he improved rapidly. Luckily he was able to come home the next day. He was so, so good throughout the entire ordeal. Between the doctor's office, the ambulance ride, and switches to three different rooms at Children's, he was such a trooper. He was on oxygen most of the time and had a pulsox strapped to his toe during the entire ordeal too. My favorite quote? When asked what is that noise, his favorite answer: "Declan beeps." We are so glad he is healthy again!
Who knew that ambulances have car seats? You can barely see the oxygen tube sticking out of his jacket, so it looks like he's going on a fun ride. Dec though he was in a bus, and he loved all of the buttons, beeps and lights.
Since we were at TCH around Christmas, they had a bag of toys in the room. Dec was immediately attached to this leopard. He is still obsessed with it.
Dec has had enough of this, but at least he still has leopard.
Another fun present.
Wistfully wishing he was home... actually, he's looking out the window for buses.
Dad got to go to the Broncos game.
Liam and Mom got to make a gingerbread house.
