Dad had a boys night out with his friends so Mom had a boys night of her own!
First stop: ice cream.

Next stop: aquarium.
We also got up and out of the house early the next morning so Dad could sleep in. Our plan was to hike Lair O' the Bear, but as we were driving there, we saw three hot air balloons so we became balloon chasers. We chased them in our car and then found them where they were landing. We were able to watch one of the three land and see how they deflated the balloon. It was a very fun impromptu early morning excursion.

To be honest, Dec liked the balloon at first, but then was much more interested in the boats on the nearby reservoir.
